Edward A. de Avila, Chief Executive Officer

Edward A. de Avila is a founding principal with Village Partners. Born and raised in Southern California, he graduated from California State University, Fullerton, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

With nearly 25 years of experience in real estate planning, design, development and leasing, Ed has been responsible for creating and managing multi-disciplinary project teams simultaneously on various mixed-use developments. His extensive experience in enhancing value through strategic development planning and leasing services, contribute to Village Partners distinctive developments.

Prior to launching Village Partners, he was Senior Vice President of Development for the J.C. Nichols Company. Before joining J.C. Nichols, Ed was CO-founder and Managing Director of Centertainment, Inc., the wholly-owned development subsidiary of AMC Entertainment, Inc. Prior to his tenure at AMC, Ed was Vice President and Director of Retail for Reston Town Center., one of the first planned “main street” retail experiences in the suburbs that attracted a significant core of national tenants.

Ed, and his wife, Demet, are active in sports and performing arts with their children Alexander, Leyla and Victor.
